About Me

Education: BFA Puppetry, West Virginia University, anticipated May 2025

Talon Schultz is a puppeteer and puppet constructor who is currently pursuing his BFA in puppetry from West Virginia University. From a very young age, he was fascinated by puppetry. Whether it be watching puppet shows at his local library or watching a puppet show on television, the magic of seeing these characters brought to life fascinated him. throughout his life, he began to perform puppet shows for schools, churches, and libraries, gaining a reputation as “the puppet guy” in his hometown of Homer, Alaska. When choosing a college he settled on West Virginia University for their BFA Puppetry program. He has performed and constructed puppets for many shows including puppeteering and voicing “The Amazing Karnak” in Ride The Cyclone, Co-puppeteering Aslan in Narnia the Musical, puppeteering in Roger and Hammerstien’s Cinderella, and constructing Milky White for Into the Woods, As well as constructing and performing in WVU’s Puppet mobile all around West Virginia.
