Starting when I was a very young boy watching Puppet shows live and on television, I was always fascinated by the magic I was seeing and I knew I wanted to do this someday. Throughout my life I started puppeteering, doing shows for schools, churches, and teaching puppetry workshops and gained a reputation as “the puppet guy” around my home town. When it came time for me to graduate high school and choose a college, I decided to go to West Virginia University and pursue their BFA puppetry program, sharpening my skills and learning to build and perform all styles of puppetry from hand and rod to marionette and bunraku-style tabletop puppets. Now I use my skills to create my own characters and use my imaginative mind to keep the art of puppetry alive.
